Website Terms of Use

Last updated October 24, 2026

These Website Terms of Use govern access to and use of techriskadvisors.com. The site is presented under the Tech Risk Advisors brand.

1. Scope and acceptance

In these Terms, “Tech Risk Advisors,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the business or person operating this website under that brand. These Terms govern public website use only. The Privacy Policy describes how information is handled through the site. If you do not agree to these Terms, stop using the site.

2. Website only; no professional engagement

The site provides general information about technology risk, cybersecurity advisory, architecture and engineering, assessments and testing, AI risk and governance, and ways to contact Tech Risk Advisors. Visiting the site or sending an email does not create a consultant-client relationship, confidentiality agreement, statement of work, warranty, service-level commitment, or other professional engagement.

Paid work, security testing, assessments, incident response, deliverables, fees, taxes, confidentiality, data handling, ownership, insurance, warranties, and remedies begin only under a written agreement signed by the parties. If a signed agreement conflicts with these Terms, the signed agreement controls.

3. No security authorization

Ordinary public access to this website is allowed. Nothing on this site authorizes unauthorized access, scanning, probing, testing, monitoring, or interference with any other system, network, account, application, device, data, or facility. Security testing or assessment work requires written authorization, a defined scope, rules of engagement, and any required owner or third-party approvals. Do not send credentials, API keys, exploit details, security logs, protected health information, payment data, or other regulated or sensitive information through ordinary email.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the site for an unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive purpose.
  • Interfere with the site, its infrastructure, its providers, or another visitor's access.
  • Probe, scan, or test the site or any related system without written authorization.
  • Upload malicious code, bypass security controls, or attempt to obtain secrets or keys.
  • Use automated requests in a way that consumes disproportionate resources or harms availability.
  • Impersonate a person or organization, send spam, or use the site to distribute unlawful content.
  • Copy, scrape, republish, or commercially exploit site content in a way that violates law or third-party rights.

5. Content, accuracy, and professional limits

Site content is general information and may be incomplete, outdated, or unsuitable for a particular decision. It is not legal, accounting, financial, insurance, medical, or other professional advice. It does not guarantee security, compliance, certification, prevention of incidents, discovery of every vulnerability, or any particular result. Obtain advice based on your facts from appropriately qualified professionals.

6. Intellectual property and permitted reference

The site's original text, design, graphics, logos, and code are owned by, licensed to, or used with permission by Tech Risk Advisors unless otherwise stated. Third-party names, marks, open-source components, fonts, and other materials remain subject to their owners' rights and licenses. These Terms give you a limited right to view the site for personal or internal business use. They do not grant a trademark or other license. Nothing here limits rights that cannot lawfully be limited, including applicable fair-use, accessibility, or quotation rights.

7. Email and other submissions

If you send an email or attachment, you represent that you have the right to share it and that it is lawful to receive and process. Do not assume an email is confidential merely because it is sent to us. We may retain, route, review, or delete submissions as needed to respond, protect systems, comply with law, or maintain records. We are not required to review, return, or use a submission.

8. Third-party services and links

The site may rely on hosting, email, font, security, and other third-party services and may link to third-party websites. Those providers and sites have their own terms and policies. We do not control or endorse third-party content, availability, security, or practices, and third-party providers are not parties to these Terms or intended third-party beneficiaries of them.

9. Availability and disclaimers

We aim to keep the site useful and available, but do not promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, current, or suitable for every purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the site and its content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties that cannot legally be excluded.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tech Risk Advisors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or related to use of the site, reliance on its content, third-party services, or inability to access the site. These site terms do not cap or limit obligations or remedies stated in a separately signed services agreement. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that applicable law does not allow to be excluded or limited.

11. Suspension and changes

We may update these Terms, change site content, rate-limit features, or suspend access to all or part of the site when reasonably necessary for security, maintenance, legal compliance, abuse prevention, or business reasons. Updated Terms become effective when posted, as shown by the date at the top. For a material change, we may provide a conspicuous notice on the site or by email where appropriate. These Terms do not change a signed services agreement unless that agreement is amended in writing.

12. General provisions

If a provision is unenforceable, it will be limited or severed to the minimum extent needed and the remaining provisions will continue. A waiver must be in writing and applies only to the specific instance. These Terms do not create an agency, partnership, employment, or joint venture relationship. Tech Risk Advisors is not responsible for delay caused by events beyond reasonable control. Provisions that by their nature should survive, including intellectual property, disclaimers, and liability limits, survive termination.

13. Contact and jurisdiction

Questions and ordinary notices about these Terms should be directed to info@techriskadvisors.com. These public site terms do not include a choice-of-law, venue, arbitration, or class-action waiver provision. A signed services agreement controls those matters for the services it covers.
